Each one of us is a mirror of the other. What I see in you is what I have in me. Therefore I am able to recognize it.

If I see kindness in you I have that too. If I see hatred, it is also somewhere in me.

Since I understood this I have been trying to be much more observant of myself in my interactions. If someone is irritating me with her behavior I am trying to understand why so. If I feel appreciative, the same. I am learning so much about myself.

When I watched my adorable tango teacher and friend live performing in Buenos Aires this year, I got tears in my eyes. Her self expression through her graceful movement was so immensely beautiful. She was art herself.

I told her: “I was mesmerized. I saw the love, passion and light in you as you moved. I was shaken by the beauty” and she replied: “Pinar it is you. You see it because you have it in you”

May we always see the beauty in each other and find it in ourselves.
